Open Sesame

If you have any fondness for Sesame Street, you might find this Radio 4 programme interesting - I did. It puts the programme in a social context and explains the politics that led to the idea of preschool education for the poorer classes on TV. Also a good bit about how the BBC didn't want to infect British children with American accents.

It's up for another 4 days.

I *wish* I had followed my teenage notion to ask Sesame Street for an internship. I didn't have the courage, but imagine what a wonderful career one might have had.
